This course is meant to give students insight into the dynamics of a market based economy and how through its mechanism scarce resources are allocated.The theoretical and actual role of the government in this market system will also be addressed.The knowledge gained in the course will make students better informed citizens and allow them to follow the debates over various economic events and policies reported in the news media.This course is also a foundation course that will prepare students to be successful in upper division finance, marketing.business administration,economics,government,and social work courses. 另外,在本课程学习中,除了让学生理解并掌握微观经济学的基本理论及基本方 法,了解西方经济理论对我国当前经济发展起到的借鉴作用。更重要的是取其精华, 去其糟粕,融入思政元素,以潜移默化的方式让学生认识当代中国在改革开放、创新 发展中的热点,从经济学角度培养学生的科学精神,从而增强学生的国家荣誉感和文 化自信,并树立正确的价值观、人生观和世界观。 本课程计划在chapter2、4、5、7、15、16共6个章节融入思政元素。 四、教学内容及要求 PART 1 GETINGACQUANTED WITH ECONOMICS Chapter 1 What Is Economics?
