(重译法）RepetitionStrictly speaking, repetition is under amplification,namely supplying some necessary words in targetlanguage. But this amplification is different from whatwe discussed in Chapter IV. Here we mean to repeatthe same words or phrases which are given previouslyin the version. Repetition is employed for the sake ofclearness, for the sake of emphasis, and for the sake ofvividness.2
