Creative writing includes the writing of fiction, nonfiction and poetry, and other literary genres. This course focuses on the writing of fiction, i.e., the writing of short stories in English. Based on the specificity of Chinese students and with reference to the teaching of creative writing in the West, this course introduces the methods and techniques of writing short stories from three aspects: language, content and techniques, respectively.
