*课程简介 (Description) Ship structure and drawing is a technical fundamental course in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. Its main task is developing the students’ basic knowledge and principle in ship structure and drawings so they can obtain the capability to read and draw some basic ship drawings using computer, which is necessary for consequent courses and their future careers. It will enable students to understand regulations for ship drawing, to know the ship loading and typical ship structures, to learn the nomenclatures of main ship structures, i.e. bottom structure, side structure and deck structure. Features of different ships and their general arrangement plan, lines plan and general structure plan and midship section plan will be depicted. The students will learn how to draw and read construction node plans, to draw node plan, typical mid-ship section plan and lines plan with AutoCAD. Besides lecturing, versatile teaching activities like group discussion, students' presentations and a hand-made model building assignment make the course to be student oriented. Group work is popular both inside and outside the classroom to encourage the cooperation and increase enthusiasm for learning.
