Integrated catchment rehabilitation means the water pollution control at a regional scale,instead of local waters focused solely. Such kind of practice depends on the comprehensive use of water planning tools (i.e.,methods on water quality assessment and water pollution sources investigation,hydrodynamic and water quality model),wastewater treatment technologies (i.e., urban drainage system design and construction,wastewater treatment plant construction and upgrading,urban drainage overflow pollution control),hydraulic techniques (i.e.,regional water flow diversion and augmentation),and laws and regulations.Regional pollutant abatements on point source discharges as well as non-point source discharges,is the key to attain the water quality goal on a catchment scale
